2014 Gene Wilson Award Luncheon-Paul Morgan Awardee-

Dear Friends of 4CP:

Below, you will find a copy of our first formal announcement of and invitation to our annual Gene Wilson Award.  The award is given to an individual or organization that has provided distinguished service in moving forward education of the citizens of Chester County and vicinity in the very serious issues associated with climate change.

This year, we are honored to have selected Dr. Paul Morgan, Chair of the “Education for Sustainability” program at West Chester University in the School of Professional & Secondary Education.  Dr. Morgan has been instrumental in the development of the Education for Sustainability program and has had a very strong hand in programs at WCU to move toward 100% renewable energy on campus.

We hope you will be able to join us for lunch on Thursday, October 23 at the Westtown School.  We’ve chosen to have the event at the Westtown School, because it not only incorporates sustainability education in all grades of the school, but also is actively reducing their carbon footprint through energy efficiency audits, incorporation of solar panels on their LEED Certified Athletic Center and designation of a Green School by the US Department of Education.

We believe there is a complimentary synergy between our Awardee, Paul Morgan at West Chester University and the site of the luncheon at the Westtown School.

We are pleased to be joined by PennFuture as a sponsor of this event.

For a map showing how to find the luncheon, please open the attachment to this invitation.
