Sat. Dec. 9 – Local Solutions to Mitigate Extreme Weather

Local Solutions to Mitigate Extreme Weather

Saturday, December 9, 2017   –    9AM – 4PM                                                                                                        West Chester University,  Sykes Student Union – 110 W. Rosedale Ave.

Please join us on Saturday December 9th at West Chester University for Local Solutions to Mitigate Extreme Weather being organized by the Eco-Justice Collaborative, PA Interfaith Power and Light, Resilient Chester County (Department of Emergency Services), and the Sierra Club among others.

We know Southeastern PA is flood prone as it is, and we know that we can expect more extreme weather in the future. For this reason we are hosting this community dialogue to help us understand what is already in place to help in a local disaster and to consider how we can focus on protecting our health and safety by planning  ahead to make recovery and resilience more efficient. We are especially aware that many will turn to a house of worship for both physical and spiritual support in a time of crisis. This program is meant to help us learn from each other how we can serve those in need.
