Panel Discussion: Local actions that reduce energy consumption & support sustainability

Panelists:

  • George Schaab, Facilities Manager at Westtown School

  • Paul D. Spiegel, P.E., LEED AP-Practical Energy Solutions, President.  The company works with businesses, schools, and municipalities to help the people that manage and occupy the buildings assess the energy consumption, and implement programs and strategies to reduce energy costs and their environmental footprint. 

  • Sam Cantrell, Maysie’s Farm Conservation Center.   As a non profit, educational organization incorporated in 1999, the mission of  Maysie’s Farm Conservation Center is to “improve public understanding of the importance of conservation and ecological thinking”. As an organic farm and CSA, their focus is on working toward the creation of a local, sustainable food system, which they do by advocating for and actually demonstrating these ideas of organic food production, local food production and the development of community around food production.
