Tree Planting Event: Shaw’s Bridge Park/Brandwine Farms 10-17-15 9AM

East Bradford Township’s Environmental Advisory Council (EAC)  and Green Committee, and West Chester University’s Gordon Natural Area representatives have set Saturday, October 17, 2015 for a remediation/clean-up at Shaw’s Bridge Park/Brandywine Farms (200 S. Creek Road, West Chester) as part of its ongoing plan for maintenance of prior plantings.  We will convene at 9 am at Shaw’s Bridge Park.  We expect to be done within two to three hours.

Work will include: straightening tubes/stakes, re-staking trees, removing dead trees, picking up trash, etc.

We will have coffee, donuts or munchkins, and water available.

We are offering this as a volunteer opportunity to volunteer committees, friends/family, and the general public.  It is a fun and meaningful day, and we would value your participation.  Volunteers should bring shovels, pliers/scissors, hammers if available.  Be sure to wear gloves and long sleeve shirts, and stay hydrated.  Brief onsite training will be conducted.

Volunteers should RSVP to Green Committee Chair Neil Weissman (neilweissman@yahoo.com).  Neil will also be happy to address your questions.
